Temporary Pause on General Wish Referrals

From 1 October 2026, Make-A-Wish UK is temporarily pausing acceptance of general wish referrals.


We continue to welcome referrals for:

  • Disneyland Paris wishes (travel wishes can only be granted to children with a prognosis of over 6 months)

  • Rush and Priority wishes for children with a prognosis of under 12 months

Make-A-Wish UK are committed to ensuring that every child referred to us can receive their wish without experiencing unnecessary delays, and this is a temporary pause while we review referral volumes. We will provide further updates as soon as possible and thank our Community Referral Partners for their continued support and understanding.



Please note, while we hope to grant all wish ideas, there is no guarantee that a specific wish can be granted until explored further with the Wishgranting Team. Unfortunately we will be unable to explore a wish outside of the UK if a child's prognosis is less than 6 months.  If you would like to discuss this further with a member of the Wishgranting Team please call 0118 3043368.

As this referral is for a Disneyland Paris wish, please note that we are currently unable to accept requests to change wish type. If a family wishes to pursue an alternative wish, the current wish opportunity would need to be closed and a new application submitted when other wish opportunities become available, subject to eligibility at the time of reapplying.
